Known for focus on wellness and prevention, and awarded the 2011 Health Freedom Hero Award. Sponsored first legislation to require warning labels on cell phones (still working on it) and promote understanding of safety issues, especially for children and pregnant women; led on smart meter safety awareness in Maine (first state to allow opt outs.) These issues led to the EMP/GMD issue. Self employed as a Reliv distributor and a title examiner, background in investments and served City of Boston on real estate tax collection initiative. Widowed when children were young, served in schools, town, and county boards. BA degree in government, international studies from Elmira College, and MBA degree from Northeastern University. One year at the Universite de Paris -- Sorbonne and Institut d'Etudes Politiques. Member, Board of Governors, National Health Federation.
