Jessyca Sheehan, director in APCO Worldwide’s Sacramento office, is a communication specialist on energy and environmental issues. She is North America lead of APCO’s Energy and Clean Tech practice.

Ms. Sheehan has particular expertise in helping regulated industries manage crises and public education programs on issues such as the smart grid, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and environmental investigation and remediation. Her specialties include crisis communication, executive positioning and stakeholder outreach.

She has extensive experience working with electric utility companies, including all three investor owned utilities in California, and also has advised clients in the oil and gas, solar energy, geothermal energy, demand response, water, and aviation industries.

Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Sheehan worked as the public affairs marketing coordinator for the California Chamber of Commerce, where she developed marketing communications for the CalChamber’s political action committees. She also worked for a Sacramento-based nonprofit organization, doing event planning, research and materials development. Previously, Ms. Sheehan taught English in southwestern France.

In 2011, Ms. Sheehan was named one of Sacramento Magazine’s “12 Women to Watch.” Ms. Sheehan graduated summa cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and French.
