Erik Peckar General Manager of Vineyard Power, began with the company in 2010.  He is primarily responsible for day-to-day operations, including outreach and helping to permit MA's first offshore wind farm, Vineyard Wind.  He has worked extensively on Community Empowerment, new proposed legislation in Massachusetts that would empower communities, through a democratic process, to meet local renewable energy targets.  Erik graduated from Penn State University and holds a BSc degree in Science, with a focus on renewable energy. Prior to his work with Vineyard Power, Erik spent time traveling all seven continents. He currently serves as the Dukes County representative for the Cape Light Compact and is a member of the Martha’s Vineyard Commission Climate Task Force. He lives in Tisbury and also works part-time at Offshore Ale Company, a local brewpub on Martha’s Vineyard.
